WWC returns to Puerto Rican television with new superstars and a new format

After a shutdown since last March due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this weekend will be marked as a historic one in the legacy of Puerto Rican wrestling. World Wrestling Council (WWC) returned with a new wrestling season, surprising the fans with its return in Puerto Rico. Following appropriate health and safety guidelines and within a strictly controlled bubble, WWC presented its long-lived television program "Las Superestrellas de la Lucha Libre" for the delight of the fans that asked for the return of wrestling action inside the ring.

The World Wrestling Council hit a home run with the bases loaded with this new season that promises action and excitement. As part of this new WWC resurgence, various matches were announced for the Cuentas Pendientes event where Bellito Calderón will face Pedro Portillo to crown a new Puerto Rico Champion and the final of the tournament to crown the World Cruiserweight Champion.

We have seen how different wrestling companies across the world have had to restructure to continue taking wrestling back to their fans and at last in Puerto Rico we can say that WWC has returned. After so many difficult months, the fans have once again through Wapa TV the distraction and entertainment that they love and are passionate about, Las Superestrellas de la Lucha Libre.

Stay tuned to Contralona to learn about everything that happened in WWC on route to the Cuentas Pendientes iPPV event.
